Submissions

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Ra-Dog, an online zine dedicated to showcasing diverse voices and creative expressions from the food & beverage/hospitality industry. We invite you to share your story with us. We ask that all work be inspired by or related to your experiences in the food & beverage industry.

Submission Guidelines

All are welcome. We encourage submissions from artists, photographers, poets, and anyone looking for a place to share their story.

Please submit art/photography in a JPG or PNG format. Please include a title for your work.

Please submit poetry/stories/essays in a .docx format. There is no word limit for literary submissions. Please include a title for your work.

By submitting your work, you grant Ra-Dog the right to publish your submission in our online format. Should we choose to publish your piece, we ask that you grant us the right to consider it for future print (physical zine) or audio/video formats associated with our online zine (we plan to share work on TikTok/Instagram with credit). Please indicate in your submission whether you consent to this. You will always retain the right to your work.

Should you have a change of heart, you may request at any time for us to remove your work from all platforms.

Please send your submissions to submit@ra-dog.com. Include a brief bio and any social media accounts you would like us to link to. Submissions can also be made anonymously. Please indicate in the body of your email if you wish for your work to be published anonymously.

A bio should include your name (pseudonym okay), a couple of sentences about yourself, pronouns, and links to your social media (if you’d like).

A bio could look something like this: “Ra-Dog (they/them) is a cook and poet. Their work has previously appeared in Applebee’s, continental breakfasts, and various food delivery apps. Ra-Dog hopes your friend doesn’t think they were being too awkward the other day. You can find more of their work at ra-dog.com.”

We ask that you include all work in one email. You may submit multiple genres at once. Please indicate in the subject line of your email which genres you are submitting.

We cannot pay our contributors at this time, but hope to in the future.

Note: Any submissions containing hateful or discriminatory views will be disregarded.
